Detailed Plot
Rossall School is a public school (English fee-charging boarding and day school), for 0–18 year olds, that is situated on a 161-acre (0.65 km2) estate, next to Rossall Beach, between Cleveleys and Fleetwood, Lancashire, England.
It was founded in 1844, by the Anglican clergyman St. Vincent Beechey, as a sister school to Marlborough College, to educate the sons of clergymen. By the end of the Victorian era, it was considered to be one of the top 30 public schools in the UK.
It was the first school in the UK to have a Combined Cadet Force and one of the first to introduce the International Baccalaureate. It is a member of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference and was granted a royal charter in 1890. It now has about 900 pupils.
