BOCCHI THE ROCK! Recap Part 1

Bocchi the Rock! (Japanese: ぼっち・ざ・ろっく！, Hepburn: Botchi Za Rokku!) is a Japanese anime television series produced by CloverWorks, based on the four-panel manga series Bocchi the Rock! by Aki Hamazi. The series follows the socially anxious Hitori Gotō as she joins Kessoku Band and fulfills her dream of performing live. The first season consists of 12 episodes and aired from October to December 2022. On June 7, 2024, the first part of the series' compilation film was released in Japan, with the second part released on August 9 of the same year. In February 2025, production of the second season was announced. The series received widespread critical acclaim for its animation, writing, music, and exploration of social anxiety, as well as numerous awards.
