One Night Only is a 2026 American romantic comedy directed and produced by Will Gluck from a screenplay by Travis Braun. Monica Barbaro and Callum Turner are the leads, with Maya Hawke, Molly Ringwald, and LeVar Burton in supporting roles. It follows the premise of an alternate future where love-starved Allie and Owen keep crossing paths on the one night a year where single people are legally allowed to have sex due to a year long federal mandate banning premarital relations. The film premiered at the SVA Theater in Manhattan on August 3, 2026 and was theatrically released in the United States on August 7, 2026 by Universal Pictures. It received mixed reviews from critics and bombed at the box office when it grossed just $23 million against its $25 million budget, not including prints and advertising costs.
