Tales about Ivan

The Tales of the Late Ivan Petrovich Belkin (Russian: «По́вести поко́йного Ива́на Петро́вича Бе́лкина», 1831) is a series of five novelettes and a fictional editorial introduction by Russian author Aleksandr Pushkin. The five novelettes, while very different, are united by the image of their fictional author and occasional first-person narrator.
